Background
There is a lack of awareness of heart disease in young adults. Singaporeans have a higher prevalence of medical conditions that put them at greater risk of heart failure than other Asians. The proportion of young adults suffering from heart attacks has been on the rise. This is due to unhealthy and sedentary lifestyles.
Insight
Young adults do not view heart disease as a threat. Heart disease is seen as an old manβs disease. The truth is that heart disease has no age bias. Your heart matters. Just because you cannot see the beating thing, doesn't mean that it is fine.
Target Audience
Young adults, aged 18-25 years old.
Solution
A heart health app that educates young adults about their heart and the risk factors of heart disease while improving the self-healthcare experience. Relearn what it means to be in love with your heart. Check in with it regularly. Treat it with care. Make your heart health a priority.
Onboarding
The user answers questions that would allow the app to assess the userβs heart health. Weekly physical activity, family history and weight are factors in determining the condition of oneβs heart.
Dates
The app features 3 different categories of dates the user can do to take care of their heart.
Check-Ins
patch encourages users to connect with their heart by reminding them to take their BMI, heart rate and blood pressure daily.
App Insights
The app keeps track of the userβs heart health and will inform the user of actions that need to be taken to maintain their heart health.
